'The Crown' Star Matt Smith Wants Selena Gomez to Play Meghan Markle on the Show

As for the British stars' thoughts on the new royal engagement, Foy said, "We love it that they're getting married. It's amazing. She's an actress, so that's great."

Smith quickly chimed in, "Well, she's not anymore, her life's over."

The quippy actor also let some spoilers slip about future seasons of The Crown. Season 2 of the show, which is out now, features the royalty in the '50s and '60s. They've cast Olivia Colman as the new Queen Elizabeth for the next two seasons, which will take place in the '70s and '80s, but what about one of the most famous members of the royal family – the late Princess Diana?

"Does Diana appear next season?" Cohen asked.

"The one after!" Smith dished, before Foy quickly "shhh'd" him.

"Isn't it? The one after?" Smith asked.

"I don't know!" Foy said, throwing up her hands.
