All About Justin Bieber: Story About Selena Gomez “Excited” And “Planning To See” Justin Bieber's Mom Pattie Is Made-Up

A story about Selena Gomez being "excited" and "planning to see" Justin Bieber's mom, Pattie Mallette, was made-up. A certain webloid keeps pretending it has insight on the on-and-off couple but actually keeps proving it knows nothing. Gossip Cop can bust this latest flub.

HollywoodLife writes in its latest concoction on Thursday, "After reuniting with Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez is finally meeting up with his mom, Pattie Mallette, and we've EXCLUSIVELY learned everyone's excited!" The site specifically claims, "Sel is about to meet up with JB's mom, Pattie Mallette for the first time since Jelena reunited." To lend credence to these assertions, a so-called "friend of Selena's" is quoted as saying, "Justin's mom's in LA this week and I know the plan is to meet up, just the three of them."

But if the outlet was really in-the-know and actually had a real source, it would know that Gomez and Mallette have already reunited. The trio were together, along with friends of Gomez and Bieber's, at the Montage in Beverly Hills on Wednesday night, following a church service. Pals of both Gomez and Bieber shared social media pictures of the hangout, and Mallette herself also posted about driving some of the group to the hotel. Obviously, then, Gomez is not "planning to see" Mallette "for the first time since Jelena reunited" as that's already happened.

This screw-up proves, as Gossip Cop has said all along, that the online publication known as HollywoodLies doesn't actually have reliable information about the pair. That's why, last month, the blog wrongly claimed Bieber was going to spend Thanksgiving with Gomez's family when that was never the plan and never actually happened. It's also notable that in this new tale there's no mention of its previous falsehood about Mallette "confirming" Bieber was dating Gomez again, as was wrongly claimed more than a month ago.

Gossip Cop must also reiterate that any legitimate "friend of Selena's" would not be talking with this webloid. Gomez publicly branded HollywoodLife as "the worst" in an interview with Billboard, and has also made her disdain for the site clear on Instagram. Bieber has also similarly slammed the outlet. Those close to them don't go spilling about their personal lives to a publication they hate. That, along with the obvious errors, proves HollywoodLies has once again made-up an "exclusive" and is, well, lying.
