Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's rekindled romance has been one of the highlights of 2017. While they've not confirmed whether they're officially back together or not, Gomez and Bieber have been spotted on several dates since fall, from joyfully riding bikes, to visiting the Sugar Factory in Seattle.

But as we approach New Year's Eve, the pair aren't together: Bieber has been spotted playing hockey in Ontario, Canada, while Gomez is in Mexico with her friends. Does this mean that their relationship is off again?
Fans found out that Gomez was heading to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico when one of her friends posted a snap of the singer on a private jet on December 27:
Then, on December 29, another photo of Gomez surfaced, this time on a beach in Cabo:

And Gomez's friend Raquelle Stevens posted a photo of the singer on Instagram with the caption, "Our 6th New Years together! Grateful for so many amazing memories. ☀️💗"

According to E! News, Gomez seemed to be enjoying the trip to Mexico so far, with a source revealing that she "was giggling with her friends and taking photos. They are all planning to do some fun dinners and spend New Year's Eve together."
But E! News also previously revealed that Gomez and Bieber were planning to spend New Year's Eve together in New York. While this is seeming less likely right now, perhaps Bieber will make it to Cabo to join Gomez and her friends in time to ring in 2018?
