My inspiration is Justin Bieber, says Srinidhi

Fourteen-year-old Srinidhi VG has her goals set straight. The Chennai-based girl hopes to become a popular singer in Hollywood, and in that pursuit, has already come up with her first single, Tantalized. A pop number, Srinidhi wrote the lyrics of the song, rendered it and has also acted in the music video. "This song is about betrayal and about a lover's touch. I worked on the track for the past five months and wrote the lyrics in an hour. When it comes to lyrics, I focus on what I feel at that point of time and write the lines. A lot of it depends on my mood," shares Srinidhi, who considers Justin Bieber to be her inspiration.

"I wanted to become a singer for the last two years. I am self-trained and will begin my professional vocal training soon. Justin Bieber is my inspiration. I love the way he lives his life and his growth has been phenomenal. My vocal inspiration is Ariana Grande," says the youngster, who has a strong US accent. "I have a lot of friends from the US and I'm hooked to videos on YouTube. I also watch a lot of English shows. So, I guess the accent is because of that. A lot of people assume that I am from the US, but I am not. I hope to make it big there, one day," shares Srinidhi, who is currently getting home-schooled.

"I used to study in Chettinad Vidyashram till my ninth grade. But I started home schooling for my tenth. It is a very different experience to study at home. It gets a bit lonely sometimes, and I miss my friends a lot. I don't get to spend too much time with them. But I am glad I am getting to do what I love. I am currently working on my second single and it will take around eight months for the entire album to be completed," she concludes.
