Beyonce to Justin Bieber: The highest paid musicians of 2017

The annual year-ender list of the world's highest-paid musicians has been released by Forbes.

The list has been prepared based on the pretax income of the artistes from June 2016, through June 1, 2017, and does not exclude fees charged by agents, managers and lawyers.

The data was gathered from Nielsen SoundScan, Pollstar, the RIAA and interviews with industry insiders.

The musician who topped the list was entrepreneur and rapper, Sean Combs. Popularly known by his stage names, Puff Daddy or P Diddy, the musician turned out to be the highest-earning artiste, pulling in a career-best of USD 130 million this year. His gross income got a boost from the Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour, Ciroc vodka deal and the sale of one-third of his Sean John clothing line, for an estimated USD 70 million.
