A UK teenager aged 17 was found guilty of plotting a terror attack during a Justin Bieber concert. Inspired by the ISIS, the boy had written a note stating he was going to "run down the non-believers with a car" and "strike the infidels who oppose Allah in the neck."
The white, Cardiff-based teenager was arrested in June after he was found researching security around a Justin Bieber concert at Cardiff's stadium. The police then raided his house, where they found a claw hammer, a gutting knife, and a suicide note stating: "I am a soldier of the Islamic State. I have attacked Cardiff today because your government keep on bombing targets in Syria and Iraq. There will be more attacks in the future."
Although his web searches included subjects such as "vehicle mounting pavement – car ploughs through a crowd," "Justin Bieber security," or "how to steal a car from a non-believer," his barrister argued the boy didn't even own a Qur'an and that he was merely curious about terror attacks. He was however found guilty of five terror-related charges: one of engaging in the preparation of a terrorist act, two of encouraging terrorism, and two other of possessing terrorist information.
