We have learned that Justin Bieber is doing everything possible to make Selena Gomez happy this time around and that includes giving her space to spend the holidays with her family. The power couple has only recently reconciled, and that is why Gomez apparently wants to take things slow.
That being said, Bieber is trying to not be too clingy, and he gave her the space she needed to spend Thanksgiving with only her relatives – something that really impressed her.
'Justin's doing everything to prove Selena that this time he's the real deal. He respected her wishes around Thanksgiving not to spend it with her family and he's respecting that she wants to slow things down to make sure everything's working out to her liking and he's giving her the space she requested,' one insider revealed.
The reason why Selena wanted him not to be part of her family's celebration was that her loved ones are still having a hard time accepting him back in her life.
That being said, his presence over Thanksgiving would have made the holiday very awkward for everyone.
'He does not want to seem like he's smothering her and is happy that things are going well and he'll see her soon. He is just making sure he's doing all the right things to make it work out. And he's passing with flying colors,' the source added.
