THESE are the chilling posts of the Cardiff teen who plotted an ISIS-inspired terror attack on the day of a Justin Bieber concert.

The schoolboy uploaded an image of Cardiff castle to social media with a caption, "Cardiff are you prepared?", alongside a picture of a jeep, knife and a bomb.

His Instagram account - where he posted the pictures - had the password "Truck Attack".

Another image was captioned: "Oh my Islamic state brothers you are the role models of these worlds. The attack on Cardiff will be deadly."

The 17-year-old conducted more than 2,000 searches over a year including "Cardiff terrorist attack", "how to create a terror attack" and "how to pledge allegiance to ISIS".

The teen, who cannot be named because of his age, will be sentenced next year but the images have been released by the Crown Prosecution Service.

He was found to have researched the murder of Lee Rigby and images of the truck attack in Nice and Berlin were on his phone.

He was arrested just hours before the concert on June 30 after searching the internet for details of the venue's security.

The boy, who hid a hammer and knife in his school bag and wrote a "martyrdom letter" after being radicalised online, was convicted of preparing for terrorist acts following a nine-day trial at Birmingham Crown Court.

In total the teenager was convicted of five terror offences, which he had denied.

At the start of the boy's trial it emerged that he had written a note apparently aimed for distribution after his death reading: "I am a soldier of the Islamic State and I have attacked Cardiff today because your government keep on bombing targets in Syria and Iraq.

"There will be more attacks in the future."

Sue Hemming from the CPS said: "This teenager's behaviour over many months leaves no doubt that he intended to kill and maim as many people as possible in an attack reminiscent of the incident on Westminster Bridge.

"He was also posting extremist content online that could have encouraged others to commit terrorist acts and downloading instructions on how to carry out 'lone wolf' attacks.

"The CPS presented overwhelming evidence that he was prepared to die for Daesh's extremist worldview and he will now rightly face the prospect of a substantial prison sentence."

The note - found with the gutting knife and claw hammer - also featured bullet points including "run down the non-believers with a car" and "strike the infidels, who oppose Allah, in the neck".

Opening the case against the boy, prosecutor Matthew Brook told the jury: "In this case, the evidence will prove that he became radicalised over the internet.

"He had terrorist material stored on his computer, he published posts on Instagram which encouraged terrorism and he was planning a 'lone wolf' style attack in the name of Islam."

The boy told police he took a knife and a hammer to his school on the day of his arrest but claimed he had no thoughts of using either weapon in a terror attack.

He was found guilty yesterday and will be sentenced at the same court on January 10.
