While reports claiming that Justin Bieber was venturing into acting thrilled his fans, it turned out that it was nothing more than a piece of rumor after all.
Many fans of the Canadian singing superstar were elated earlier this week when Us Weekly reported that Bieber had a dinner with actor Adam Sandler, supposedly because he wanted to get some acting tips from him. According to the source of the said publication, it was Bieber who set an appointment as he wanted to know how he could break into the film industry successfully.
"They had a great time! Justin had a lot of questions for them about the movie world," the source of Us Weekly allegedly said.
While the report got the fans excited and left some critics of the singer raising their eyebrows, Sandler revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that there was no truth to the reports about Bieber seeking his advice. According to the actor/comedian, he is clueless as to how the report came about and who Us Weekly's source was.
"I don't know who said that, but that's some weird story that they made up...That's not it at all. We just hung out. He just wanted to go to dinner, me and David Spade and Dustin [Hoffman], and Dustin said no, he ran away, so it was just me and David," Sandler revealed.
While Bieber's dinner with Sandler and Spade was devoid of career-advice moments, Sandler went to reveal what his impression of Bieber was. According to the 51-year old comedian, the Canadian singing superstar is simply a great guy that he enjoyed his company.
"He's funny as hell and we went out to dinner and had a nice time. He's really, really a great guy - just funny and he can sing pretty well," Sandler said as he described his experience with the Canadian singing superstar.
