Joe Jonas teams up with Naughty Boy on single written by Emeli Sandé

NEW MUSIC: Joe Jonas has teamed up with Naughty Boy on the new single

Earlier this week news broke that Joe Jonas was engaged to Sophie Turner.

The Game Of Thrones actress has been dating the singer since late 2016.

Now Joe has taken a detour from his time with DNCE to release a solo single with Naughty Boy.

The track, entitled One Chance To Dance, was co-written by Emeli Sandé and is set to feature on Naughty Boy's upcoming second album.

"Joe came in the studio and we just vibed on the tune"

Naughty Boy

Chatting about the single, the producer – whose real name is Shahid Khan – said: "I had the tune just sitting there for about a year.

"I knew I wanted to do something with it for my new album but I just wasn't sure exactly what at the time.

"I'm a big fan of (DNCE Song) Cake by The Ocean and when the guys were in town I met Joe, he came in the studio and we just vibed on the tune."

He added: "It was inspired by Michael Jackson songs but it's about not being as good as Michael Jackson.

"I was thinking about his songs and a new pop tune that would reflect that era of music and that's why it has a sort of old school sound to it."

While the single features a repetitive string beat and countless references to the King Of Pop, it isn't a total Motown throwback.

That being said, Naughty Boy is working on a Motown album.

"It's not finished yet," the DJ told Daily Star Online.

"It isn't out until next year, but it has Justin Timberlake on it and Robbie Williams.

"I want people to understand how much of a struggle it was for black guys to get their music played on radio in the 60s and 70s.
