Ariana Grande opens up about the Manchester bombing in an emotional interview

A terror attack at her Manchester Arena concert in May claimed the lives of 22 people.

A few weeks after the bombing, Side to Side's Ariana Grande returned to the UK to perform in the One Love Manchester concert which she orchestrated with manager, Scooter Braun.

Many big names in the music world joined Ariana on stage in the show of solidarity including Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.

The emotional trauma surrounding the aftermath of the horrific attack also led Ariana to postponing some of her Dangerous Woman tour.

However she revealed that calling the whole tour off was never an option in a new interview with Coveteur.

Speaking about the attack, Ariana said: "I don't think we've ever been through anything as traumatic as what we've been through."

She continued: "So… [tour] can be a lot. Calling it off and going home was not an option. The message of the show was too important.

"For the crew and everyone involved, it's become more than just a show for us.

"We are really grateful to be here and really grateful for this show."

Speaking ahead of her final tour night in Hong Kong last week, Ariana revealed that after the tour she would "check in on [her] health."
