WLLR-FM to air 'Hand in Hand' hurricane relief benefit

Quad-Cities radio station WLLR-FM (103.7) has joined the many media outlets across the country that will offer a live broadcast of "Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief" starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The star-studded benefit will air commercial-free on multiple TV networks, including ABC, CBS, FOX, HBO and Bravo, and live-stream via Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. The telethon will use more than 2,000 call center volunteers to take donations.

Initially planned to raise money to benefit those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas, "Hand in Hand" also will help those affected by the more recent Hurricane Irma.

Participants will include Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Connie Britton, George Clooney, Andy Cohen, Stephen Colbert, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Terry Crews, Billy Crystal, Ellen DeGeneres, Robert De Niro, Drake, Hilary Duff, Jourdan Dunn, Jamie Foxx, Richard Gere, Tom Hanks, Marcia Gay Harden, Faith Hill, Kate Hudson, Dwayne Johnson, Joe Jonas, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
