Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricane Irma in Florida are estimated to have caused between $150 and $200 billion in damage, but now some of the biggest stars in America are coming together for a telethon — "Hand in Hand" — to help do something about it.
Dreamed up by Bernard Freeman, a Houston rapper who goes by the stage name Bun B, and his manager Scooter Braun, the Hand in Hand telethon was initially aimed to raise funds for victims of Hurricane Harvey, but then Irma came. Organizers then expanded the telethon.
Actors, athletes and musicians like Leonardo DiCaprio, Beyoncé, Tom Hanks and Justin Bieber jumped at the chance to help.
"Neighbor helping neighbor without stopping to think about race, religion or anything else... if we're going to through all the storms that confront us, that's how we're going to do it: together, hand in hand," said Texas native Selena Gomez.
Here's everything you need to know about the Hand in Hand benefit for hurricane relief.
What time does it start?
The telethon starts at 5 p.m., Pacific Time, or 8 p.m., Eastern Time.
How to watch it?
On television, most of the major television networks and channels are expected to broadcast "Hand in Hand." That includes ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, BET, Bravo, E!, HBO, MTV, Oxygen, Univision and CMT.

Who is involved?
The event is sponsored by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, Verizon, Apple, Albertsons Companies Foundation, Merck and Paypal and is a program of Comic Relief, Inc.
It will feature appearances, performances and special messages of support from stars in Los Angeles, New York and Nashville. Here are just a few of the many participating:

How to donate?
All donations received by the Hand in Hand Hurricane Relief Fund from the public will be distributed to charities working on the ground the affected areas, according to Comic Relief, Inc. Sponsors are said to be picking up the costs of producing the benefit and processing donations.
Donations collected from the telethon will go to supporting the Rebuild Texas Fund, ASPCA, Best Friends, Direct Relief, Feeding Florida, Feeding Texas, Habitat for Humanity, Save the Children, United Way and the Mayor's Fund for Hurricane Harvey Relief.
To donate, viewers are asked to call 1-800-258-6000 or text GIVE to 80077. Phone lines and text messaging will open at the beginning of the show.
