Justin Bieber banned from China for 'bad behavior'

It seems Justin Bieber's bad behavior and the country of China are in a fight. Angeli Kakade (@angelikakade) has the scoop. Buzz60

Is it too late now to say sorry?

Justin Bieber may have fans all around the world, but Chinese Beliebers will have to fangirl over him from afar for now. The singer has been banned from performing in Beijing due to "bad behavior," the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture said in a written response to a fan who asked why he wasn't allowed to play the capital.

"Justin Bieber is a young foreign singer who is talented at singing but also controversial," officials said on the agency's website and translated by the Associated Press' bureau in Beijing. "Therefore, it's not appropriate to bring in artists who show bad behavior."

They may be referring to Bieber's streak of bad-boy antics, which reached a nadir in 2014 when he was arrested for drag-racing in Miami and assaulting a limousine driver in Toronto

While he has largely settled down since then, he's not out of the woods yet. Last year, TMZ posted video of him punching a fan in the face. And he's still dealing with the fallout from past legal problems, including being accused of "thumbing his nose" at Tennessee lawyers by not showing up for a Nashville court date earlier this year.

So will Bieber ever get to visit fans in China? Never say never. The bureau hinted that Bieber, who last played China in 2013, might be able to return if he keeps his nose clean.
