Canadian singer was on his way to the Pinkpop Festival in Landgraaf when he decided to surprise fans with some football
JUSTIN BIEBER took time out of his busy schedule to have a kickabout with fans in a football stadium.
The pop megastar, 23, was on his way to the Pinkpop Festival in Landgraaf when he decided to surprise fans with a spot of football.
He had been staying in the German city of Dusseldorf before heading to the nearest football stadium to meet people and kick a ball around.
The star went to the SC West sports field and played with young fans from the SC Dusseldorf-West football club.
Bieber arrived on Saturday afternoon in a friendly and relaxed mood, said witnesses.
Stadium worker Frank Laureini said Bieber stayed for about 45 minutes, when he had to leave to get to his performance in the Netherlands.
Laureini said: "I was wondering what's with all the bodyguards running around.
"When I asked they only said that they cannot give anything away.
"I thought at first that some son of a millionaire would play in our handball tournament."
Bieber also took a photo with the team, which he later shared on his social media profile.
Members of the club are hoping for another superstar visit at the end of June, when Robbie Williams will be visiting the city to perform a concert.
This is not the first time Bieber has surprised fans with a spontaneous kick-about, after he did something similar in Colombia back in April, playing in a five-a-side match in Bogota.
