JUSTIN Bieber was feeling contemplative and philosophical on Sunday.
The Crown Prince of Pop – and one of Canada's biggest selling artists – took to Instagram to reflect on the past and the present.

Justin Bieber was reflecting on his past on Sunday
For unknown reasons, Justin, 23, found himself thinking of the past – and the date of 23 January 2014 which was when he was arrested in Miami for driving under the influence.
Looking at the present, it seems Justin is not fully satisfied with his current life – he is currently on the Latin American leg of his Purpose World Tour which is taking him around the globe via private jet to sing for millions of adoring fans who have spent reasonable amounts of money on tickets.

Creating a split image of his own mugshot and a photo taken just hours earlier, Justin opened up to fans in a statement on the photo sharing app Instagram.
"I LOVE THIS because it reminds me IM NOT EXACTLY WHERE I WANT TO BE BUT THANK GOD IM NOT WHERE I USED TO BE," the troubled star wrote alongside the 50/50 image.

Justin shared a selfie with fans via Instagram earlier on Sunday
He concluded: "THE BEST IS YET TO COME DO YOU BELIEVE IT?"
Minutes before, Justin had given fans an insight to his imperfect life with a photograph of the interior of his luxurious private jet – kitted out with personalised Reebok memorabilia.
And earlier still, he had shared the black and white image that he had shared with fans in the 50/50 image as well.
Justin's 2014 arrest is not the only time JB has had a run in with the law.

Over the years he has found himself embroiled in a number of high profile situations that have led many to question his reputation as a role model.
He was arrested a second time in 2014 following a collision between a minivan and an ATV while on a 'peaceful retreat' with then-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
There were further incidents in that same year with a paparazzi photographer alleging Justin ordered bodyguards to ruff him up.
