During the 2016 AMAs held last November, they reportedly hugged each other after Gomez delivered a powerful speech. From that, the fans of Selena and Niall couldn't stop speculating about a chance for them to get back together. Horan finally spoke about the rumors to clear the air.

"She's very beautiful," Niall Horan stated in a new video with Wild 949. He further added in an interview with Ryan Seacrest that he wouldn't win a fight against the likes of Bieber in hopes of getting her back. According to a report from the Inquisitr, Horan expressed no interest in pursuing Selena because his friend, Justin actually plans to win her back.
However, when Seacrest asked if he would be really be willing to fight Bieber for Gomez, Horan laughed and said that he is friends with Bieber. It is safe to assume that what's more important to Niall Horan is his friendship with Justin Bieber.
People can note that Selena has been battling against anxiety, panic attacks, and depression, which are comorbid of the Lupus condition she suffers from. Her condition made her break away from the spotlight. She was also on social media hiatus for a few months and has been spending time with her family.
