Justin Bieber's "Purpose World Tour" has set off an unintentionally hilarious commotion in Israel even though the seven times-Grammy-nominated superstar hasn't even arrived yet.
Israeli teen Beliebers are desperately trying to move the date of a national biology exam, which is scheduled for the day after Bieber performs in Tel Aviv with his "Purpose World Tour." Namely, May 3, 2017.
Bieber's upcoming concert there will his first in Israel since he visited five years ago, which doubtless explains the intense demand for tickets.
The Washington Post reports that when news of Justin's forthcoming concert was rolled out via Israel Army Radio on Monday morning, furious high school students took to social media to vent.
The recipient of all that rage? Israel's Ministry of Education.
Listing their gripes, many of the students explained it would be hard to go and see Bieber in concert and still be expected to wake up refreshed the next day to take the exam.
The biology exam is part of the compulsory tests for high school graduation.
"With due respect to biology, Justin Bieber does not come to Israel every year," one vexed student wrote on the Facebook page of Israel's National Student and Youth Council.
The same student continued, "This exam will prevent many high school kids from going to his performance."
The day before Israel Army Radio shared news of Bieber's show, the National Student and Youth council posted a tongue-in-cheek WhatsApp message jokingly calling for the exam to be rescheduled because of the concert, writing, "This is one of the weirdest requests we have received, what do you think?"
However, the council's post unexpectedly drew around 500 comments. Many asking educators to move the exam to another date.
"Of course. This is right! It's not an opportunity that will repeat itself," one teenager blasted. "Maybe it is even the chance of a lifetime. We have to try and delay, I hope we can," wrote one teen.
Another student agreed."Too right. This is a one-time performance and for some people it's very important to them."
The same student pointed out "I see why those who are majoring in biology have to make the choice of giving up on the show. The school board really needs to try help move it."
"This really sucks and I, as a biology student, really don't know what to do," they added.
Some anti-Bieber students ridiculed the angst of those fretting over the Purpose show and the biology exam.
Israel Army Radio subsequently revealed the Education Ministry responded to complaints by saying it didn't see any conflict in going to see Bieber and taking the exam the following day.
The Ministry reportedly said the biology test is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. and that it saw no need for the exam to be moved as there will be time for fans to recover from the night before.

Back in April 2013, five schools in Norway changed the dates of their midterm exams to let pupils go to Bieber's "Believe Tour" concert in Oslo.
The change was due to the huge popularity of Bieber in Norway and fears that pupils would simply skip exams to attend his concerts.
Doubtless, the schools took into account an incident in 2012 in Norway, in which dozens of teenage girls were injured while fighting for a better position to see Justin at a free show.
In 2013, the country's education minister, Kristin Halvorsen, said she would not interfere with the schools' decisions to change the exams for Bieber's "Believe Tour" show.
"I am concerned that students should be concentrating when they take tests and midterms," Halvorsen added.
Fast forward to now, it remains to be seen whether or not Israel's Ministry of Education will listen to angry Bieber's fans and move the date of the national exam for his "Purpose Tour" concert.
