Star-Studded American Music Awards Air Sunday Night, Bruno Mars & Lady Gaga to Perform

Dick Clark ProductionsAt Sunday night's American Music Awards, it's Drake versus everybody else.

The Canadian rapper is the leading nominee this year, scoring 13 nods.  That's the record for most nods in a single year, by the way -- the previous record-holder, Michael Jackson, received 11 nods in 1984.  Rihanna, meanwhile, has seven nods, while Adele and Justin Bieber have five each.  Beyonce and The Chainsmokers have four nods each.

Gigi Hadid and former SNL star Jay Pharoah will host the show, and the lineup of performers is impressive, to say the least.  Fans will see Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar, The Chainsmokers and Halsey, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Shawn Mendes, James Bay, John Legend, Twenty One Pilots, The Weeknd and, via satellite from Europe, Justin Bieber.

The American Music Awards air Sunday night on ABC, live from L.A., starting at 8 p.m. ET.
