I know it's early and all but, um, here's Justin Bieber rocking a subdued acoustic cover of the Tupac classic "Thugz Mansion." Bieber dropped in on the BBC Radio 1 crew Thursday morning to blow through 4 near-classic Bieber cuts and a couple of covers. Hell yeah. Thursdays are amazing.
On the Bieber-ier side of things, dude gifted us with some morning-friendly takes on Purpose cuts "Love Yourself" and "What Do You Mean," as well as his DJ Snake collab "Let Me Love You" and his Major Lazer feature "Cold Water":
In case you were wondering, yes, Bieber also let us peep his version of Tracy Chapman's 1988 folk-pop smash "Fast Car."
Sadly, this is the most we've seen of Bieber in quite some time. His Instagram remains offline due to the onslaught of less-than-kind comments left by so-called fans after he shared some photos of his rumored girlfriend, model Sofia Richie. But, hey, August wasn't all bad for Bieber. At the top of the month, Seth Rogen set aside some time to astutely analyze Bieber's sausage on TV. Nice guy.
But anyway, back to the art of the cover song. Badlands hitmaker Halsey stopped by triple j's Like a Version studio to put her own spin on Bieber's "Love Yourself" earlier this year, switching out the word "love" for "fuck" and thus kinda creating a whole new banger:
Raise your hand if you'd be very here for an entire album of Justin Bieber just ripping through covers of American classics.
