The news of the "Sorry" musician's decision to call things off comes just days after Sofia - who is the daughter of music legend Lionel Richie - opened up about their "special relationship".
Following the said split, Bieber, 22, is already out and ready to mingle, while Richie, 18, was spotted out on Sunday night hanging with friends at The Nice Guy.
According to the TMZ report, it wasn't as if they were in a serious relationship anyway, though there was that vacation in Mexico back in August where they celebrated Sofia turning 18.

Richie was previously in the middle of a public argument between her now-ex-boyfriend and Selena Gomez after he threatened to close his Instagram account due to trolls badmouthing her.

Bieber and Richie was earlier spotted vacationing in Mexico for the model's 18th birthday on August 24. Selena Gomez got involved, and eventually, Biebs peaced out of the social network.
During a candid chat with Billboard.com earlier this month (Sep16), the model insisted she had faith their romance would go the distance, because Bieber is so unique. "She saw Justin looking so happy and that really sent her into a downward spiral".
