Many of the movies that will be vying for awards come Oscar season are currently being screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, making it the perfect time for some classic films to become more Canadian. Sounds good, eh?
On Friday, Twitter users got #MakeAMovieMoreCanadian trending, finding a plethora of ways to add a little Canadian flavor to a wide range of films, whether it was using the country's pension for kindness or their marquee celebrities such as Drake and Justin Bieber.
The Toronto rapper helped make Snakes on a Plane a lot less scary, becoming Drakes on a Plane, while Bieber got his groove on as Saturday Night Fever changed to Saturday Night Bieber. Canada itself even got in the mix as the country's official Twitter account chimed in with Willy Wonka and the Poutine Factory and Catch Me if Yukon.
Other movies getting a Canadian twist include The Great Gatsby, About a Boy, and Straight Outta Compton. Look at some of the best tweets below.
