"[Justin Bieber] was [Selena Gomez's] first love, and he still has a major hold on her. If he texts her, her world stops," a source told Page Six. We already knew this, as an EXCLUSIVE source previously told us, "The reason why Selena is so upset [about him showing off his relationship with Sofia Richie] is because she still loves Justin."
But what's interesting is that this new report claims Justin, 22, feels the exact same way about Selena, 24 — his feelings for her will also always be there. "They came up in this business together as sweethearts — those feelings will never go away," the source added.
This is great to hear, especially because, as you know, Justin and Selena got into a heated argument on Instagram this past weekend. And things escalated pretty quickly — to the point that Justin actually deleted his entire Instagram account during the early morning hours of Aug. 16.
Fortunately, they still care about each other deeply, so this is just another bump in the road for them.
