Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie Are Having a 'Love-fest,' But the Singer Isn't Settling Down Any Time ...

Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie's relationship has been heating up over the last couple weeks, but the superstar likely isn't in it for the long-haul.

"Sofia and Justin are basically on a love-fest right now, but it's virtually impossible where he's at in his life and career for anything to last with these girls," a source close to the singer tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Before jetting to Japan with Bieber, 22, for his Purpose tour stops there, Richie, 17, spent time with the star in Laguna Beach and at his Toluca Lake home, says another insider.

"These girls all go crazy for him, but he's not settling down," says the source, who adds that the budding couple have "run in the same circle for years."

Over the weekend, social media erupted when Selena Gomez chastised her ex-boyfriend for lashing out at his fans after they sent Richie negativity. The former couple got into a spat in his Instagram comments section, and Bieber's other ex, Hailey Baldwin, seemingly also waded into the drama.

In the early hours of Tuesday, Bieber deactivated his Instagram account, and the hashtag #JustinDeactivatedParty quickly began trending on Twitter.
