Is Joel Embiid healthy? So far the injured 2014 draft pick hasn't played a single game for the Sixers, but if the last 24 hours mean anything, it might officially be time for fans to get excited.
Embiid's weekend started with a celebrity arm-wrestling match late Friday night at Hyde in Los Angeles against pop star Justin Bieber. Yes, you read that sentence correctly:

Defeating Bieber might put a grin on the faces of some Sixers fans, but it was a video posted Saturday morning by Embiid's trainer, Drew Hanlen, that got most fans riled up. There, you see a glimpse of some of the agility that a healthy Embiid could bring to the court (Uproxx said he looked "like a 7'2 ballerina"):

Fans everywhere have been cautiously optimistic about videos of Embiid that have come out of Sixers practice. The Inquirer's Keith Pompey has shared a steady stream of Embiid's off-season gym moments on his Twitter account:

If all that wasn't enough, Embiid jumped on Instragram himself late Saturday night to offer a tribute to Sam Hinkie, calling the former Sixers general manager "The GOAT" and saying he "died for our sins":

According to Pompey, Embiid started participating in five-on-five scrimmages for the first time as a Sixer a little less than a month ago. He is scheduled to make his debut next season after being sideline since being drafted third overall in the 2014 draft.
"We know he's healthy," said Sixers assistant Lloyd Pierce, who's coaching the summer league team. "He's been in a great spot the past couple of months. . . . He's just trying to get in basketball conditioning, [work on his] basketball skills, and feel comfortable on the floor."
