'The Voice' Christina Grimmie Wished to Work With Justin Bieber, 'Sorry' Singer Paid Emotional Tribute

Before the saddening death news, The Voice star Christina Grimmie admitted that it would be awesome to work with Justin Bieber in one of his concerts. Recently, the Canadian crooner emotionally rendered a tribute for his late friend during his Purpose tour in Canada.

Grimmie had numerous renowned artists on her list that she wished to work with and Bieber was on top of them, as noted in Mirror.co.uk. She also listed One Direction and Ariana Grande as other names she would love to open for and go on tours with. She then gushed about working with the Love Yourself singer saying that it would be "awesome" to perform with him.

The 22-year-old singer was known to be a good friend with the former couple Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. Truly, it was a heartbreaking news when the rising star was shot in her Orlando concert on June 11. Many people grieved at the loss, one of whom was the pop star Bieber.

According to Fox News, his performance took an emotional turn. The Sorry hit maker paid tribute to Grimmie during his concert in Canada on Saturday. While performing, the singer was not able to hold his sadness and shed tears over the death of a friend .

Bieber even laid down on the floor while singing and calling out his late pal, "Grimmie, can you hear me?" Then he wiped away his tears, mounted up and continued his passionate performance. As reported, Bieber became close to Grimmie when she joined Bieber's former girlfriend, Selena Gomez, in her tours.

Meanwhile, pop star Gomez also showed her grief while paying tribute to her friend during a Miami concert. The 23-year-old singer could not finish the song, Nobody , as she was immersed in an upsetting emotion.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are not the only celebrities who have paid tribute to Christina Grimmie. Her The Voice coach Adam Levine offered to pay the funeral costs. Other stars have posted their remembrance and sympathy through social media.
