Music luminaries of the '80's—we're talking Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Prince, Grace Jones and the like—released some very important music during their respective heydays. Pop from the era always had a unique tinge to it, so it's worthwhile to ponder how chart-toppers from 2016 might sound if given an '80's makeover.
Enter the 1980's version of Justin Bieber's "What Do You Mean." Made by Soundcloud user TRONICBOX, this version of the Bieber hit is pure 80's nostalgia, and it sounds as if it were composed by Culture Club or another mullet-sporting group. Listen to it below:
Man is that a heartfelt banger and a sharp divergence from the original. Anyway, this is a nice interruption from the Bieber headlines we've seen recently, which include the singer being sued over the melody to his song "Sorry," and getting into a fist fight that was caught on camera by a candid Snapchatter. But we can't hate on Justin—especially with that eighties mullet! His Purpose World Tour is currently going strong.
