Justin Bieber's Emojis Beat Stephen Curry's in the App Store

Kim Kardashian lead the way with her Kimoji emoji collection app. Now Justin Bieber takes over.

End of last year, the release of Kim Kardashian's emoji collection broke the Apple App store. The success of Kimoji has now other celebrities release emoji collections. NBA player Stephen Curry released last week.

Within hours StephMoji was on to the top of the paid apps on iTunes, but then came Justin Bieber. The Beliebers made sure that JustMoji beat the Steph Curry app.

JustMoji is as of writing this story the 2nd highest grossing paid app in the App Store, just behind Minecraft: Pocket Edition. StephMoji slid down to the 5th rank.

Emojis have been around since years, but now the tiny images are more popular than ever. So popular that smartphone users pay for them. The JustMoji emoji keyboard app sells for a whopping $2.99, filling Justin Bieber's bank account.

The JustMoji keyboard lets fans access to hundreds of exclusive high-quality, premium stickers, gifs and expressions of Justin Bieber. The app also features a Justin Bieber meme maker.

The Emoji keyboard market is not dominated by one developer. The JustMoji app is made by Kapps Media. Stephen Curry's emoji app is developed by AppMoji and the Kimoji, currently ranking 7th in the App Store, has been created by Digital Whalerock Media.

The popularity of celebrity emoji apps will bring many more emoji keyboards with celebrity emojis in the next months. Are you already excited the for TrumpMoji, RiRiMoji or QueenBMoji app?
