Justin Bieber has posted a message urging his fans to "spam" the gossip website Hollywoodlife.
The singer wrote on Instagram that the site is "untruthful" and "hurtful".
He asked fans to "tweet #hollywoodlifeisgarbage" and it was trending for hours after his plea.
It comes hours after Justin entered the history books by becoming the first act to hit 100 million streams for a song in the UK.

His song Sorry, which was produced by Skrillex and Blood and co-written by Bieber, is the second of three number one singles lifted from Bieber's album Purpose.
"It has been an extraordinary few months for Justin Bieber and this new streaming landmark really tops the lot," says Martin Talbot, chief executive at the Official Charts Company.
"For Sorry to become the first track in Official Chart history to pass the 100m mark is a record which can never be taken away from Justin - it is, perhaps, the four-minute mile of music streaming.
"A remarkable feat, a first which will be Justin's record forever."
Hours earlier he'd told fans he wanted their help to close down gossip website Hollywoodlife.

This is after the website published a story about his ex-girlfriend entitled Selena Gomez Is Over Justin Bieber: She No Longer Imagines Marriage & Kids.
It no longer features on the site.
Other Justin Bieber related stories have also disappeared, including one about Gigi Hadid warning Bieber's latest love interest about his playboy ways.
