Justin Bieber & Skrillex Sued Over 'Sorry': Report

Justin Bieber and Skrillex perform at the 2015 Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015 in Wantagh, N.Y.

Justin Bieber and Skrillex are reportedly being sued by indie artist White Hinterland, who claims the duo used her vocal loop without permission on the hit song "Sorry."

White Hinterland, whose real name is Casey Dienel, claims the "unique characteristics of the female vocal riff" from her 2014 song "Ring the Bell" is the same as that used on Bieber's track, TMZ reports. Skrillex produced and wrote on the song. The other writers --  who would be Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter and Michael Tucker -- are reportedly also included in the suit.

Eight seconds of the "Ring the Bell" riff is allegedly used six times in Bieber's Purpose standout track. Dienel reportedly claims she warned Bieber's camp to stop using the similar part last December, but was ignored.
