Justin Bieber apologizes for not touring in Argentina

Justin Bieber won't be making it to Argentina for the Purpose World Tour thanks to some past legal troubles in the country, so he apologized to his South American Beliebers on Twitter Monday: "Argentina I do love you," he said in a string of tweets. "It is in fact one of my favorite places to tour. I wish this was not the case. My lawyers say it is what it is."

The "What Do You Mean" singer allegedly assaulted a photographer when he was in Argentina on tour in 2013. He was summoned to court the next year, but failed to show up. An Argentine judge later issued an arrest warrant for Bieber in April 2015, and although that warrant was eventually revoked, the charges had not been dropped as of July 2015.

"If things were to change I would love to come but at this time I cannot," Bieber tweeted Monday. He also posted a GIF from his "Sorry" music video along with the caption, "Sorry Argentina. I love you."

Bieber's tour kicked off in March and runs until November. His lawyer did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.
