When you think Johnny Depp and Justin Bieber, "twinning" isn't exactly the first term to come to mind—but Ellen DeGeneres wants to change that. On today's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the host made a surprising revelation about Depp in his younger years: he was a total Justin Bieber doppelgänger.
In the interview, DeGeneres asked the actor about his band Hollywood Vampires—with Alice Cooper and Joe Perry—and his music career, which he's been pursuing since he was 12. (He even started playing in bars at 13.) Considering his early beginnings, DeGeneres fittingly compared him to another musician who started out as a tween, and pulled up a side-by-side of a teenage Depp and Justin Bieber. Though one photo was in greyscale and the other was in color, the similarities are extremely uncanny. They share the same boyish smize and, most importantly, the same haircut.
"He just looks like he might be a little... cleaner than me," Depp joked, "Spiritually, I mean."
"No. He's not," DeGeneres replied, causing the actor to laugh hysterically.
