To anyone that may have doubted her: It's not too late to say sorry.
Eight-year-old Khiyla Westcott-Schram will be sharing the stage with Justin Bieber when he performs next week in Toronto.
The Alliston girl has been selected over three other young competitors to dance with the global pop sensation during his Purpose World Tour Thursday, May 19 at the Air Canada Centre.
"We are over the moon at this amazing opportunity and are so beyond grateful, I have no words!" wrote Khyila's mom Michelle Westcott.
Khylia has been on a steady path to stardom since she started dancing four years ago.
She was recently selected as one of 15 dancers to receive a full scholarship for a dance camp taking place this summer in Los Angeles.
She will also be one of two kids from the Toronto area to compete at a major dance competition coming up in New York.
Khyila is also preparing to work as a dance counsellor at another camp in Scottsdale, Arizona.
To help the family with the travel expenses, a dance night fundraiser will be held Friday, June 3 at the Alliston Memorial Arena from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The night will feature a dance session with a choreographer for the kids from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by a dance for adults.
