Post Malone Proves He's a Certified Rockstar With Energized Governors Ball Performance

No matter what you may think of Post Malone, it's undeniable that the rapper has bangers for days. His evening set at the Honda Stage on the first day of Governors Ball had one of the most packed crowds of the entire day, with young fans rushing from all directions of the festival grounds to see their favorite artist in the flesh. And Post Malone delivered, giving them a dose of his signature, energetic as hell performances.

The rapper -- donning an Adidas jersey, pitch-black sunglasses and white Crocs -- confidently emerged onto the stage with a red Solo cup in hand. He then kicked things off with Stoney highlight "Too Young," as his gravely voice flooded through the speakers. Post either just finished smoking a pack of cigarettes backstage or had a very late night partying, but that distinct modulation somehow added to the rockstar appeal he's trying to achieve. And in many cases, it gave life to the glossy studio sound found on his albums.

The filters on the screens next to the rapper switched between weed-green, blood red, codeine purple and smoke gray depending on the mood of each song -- all of which resonated with his fans. "Who's fucked up? Who's on drugs," Post said with a laugh, seconds before jumping into beerbongs & bentleys cut "Better Now," which had the entire crowd dancing. His humor played a big part in his set, where at one point he exclaimed "I'm too thick to be doing this shit, goddamn" after dancing on stage. The rapper's charisma later shined when he explained: "By the way, I'm not wearing sunglasses because I think I'm cool. I'm wearing them because it's sunny as a mother...what a beautiful day in the city of dreams!" The statement ended with a flash of his diamond-glittered smile.

Post kept the energy flowing in a way that was reminiscent to long college dorm ragers, where he fueled the audience with back-to-back thirst-quenchers like "Takin' Shots," "No Option," "Psycho," "Candy Paint," "Paranoid" and "Up There." But sometimes that same gravely voice hindered the tenderness of songs like "Deja Vu." The rapper had to let collaborator Justin Bieber's tracked vocals carry the song's emotion.

His set was met with a brief hiccup towards the middle, when he noticed that something was wrong in the audience. "Hold on, someone needs help down there," the concerned rapper said, immediately gaining the attention of the festival's medical team. Fortunately, the young female fan was rescued and taken away to receive proper care. Following the incident, Post regained his momentum and punched through all the hits that made him a Top 100 chart favorite: "Rockstar" (which was heightened by the addition of a jagged electric guitar riff and Post smashing an actual guitar), "White Iverson" and "Congratulations."

Post Malone may only be 22 years old, but he displayed a fervor and eagerness to win that a lot of young rappers nowadays don't possess. He even sung and rapped live for a vast majority of his set, which is a rarity for many rappers who insist on relying on a backing track. It's makes you wonder why he wasn't chosen to be one of the headliners for the festival, because the rapper proved he deserved that kind of a challenge.

Benny Blanco Thanks Kanye West for Contribution on 'Ye' Album, Making His 'Childhood Dreams ...

Benny Blanco is no stranger to helping the process of making hit songs. The 30-year-old Grammy winner has worked with today's biggest music stars, such as Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and Ariana Grande. His most recent work comes in the form of Kanye West's new record, Ye.

Blanco is featured as a songwriter and producer on two songs, "I Thought About Killing You" and "Ghost Town," featuring John Legend, 070 Shake, and Kid Cudi.

The producer took to Instagram Friday (June 1) to thank West for giving him the opportunity to work on his project, recalling his own lifelong connection with the rapper's music. "dear kanye west," he wrote. "thank u for making my childhood dreams come true. the 14 year old in me is crying tears of joy right now."

"i remember leaving my grandmothers house in east orange new jersey back home to virginia and seeing a man on the side of the road selling bootleg copies of the college dropout... i went home and listened to it so much that it became so scratched i couldn't even play it... i looked up every single sample on the album and spent months trying to recreate the beats."

Justin Bieber Desperate To Win Selena Gomez Back, Searching Her Instagram For Clues ...

Justin Bieber still isn't over Selena Gomez. The Biebs reportedly hasn't moved on from his years-long infatuation with Selena, and is allegedly determined to win her back yet again.

According to a June 1 report by Hollywood Life, Justin Bieber is ready to make another bold move to get back in Selena Gomez's good graces. Sources tell the outlet that Justin and Selena are not in contact at the moment, and he does not follow her on social media. However, he allegedly continues to check her Instagram page to see what she is up to, and who she is spending time with.

"Justin and Selena are not in contact right now, but that hasn't stopped him from keeping an eye on her Instagram. He doesn't follow her, but he still checks her page and her last few posts have got him all twisted. She's been promoting her video for Back to You and posting certain lyrics from the song that make it seem like she's still thinking about Justin, or at least that's how Justin is taking it," insiders told the site.

As many fans will remember, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez first began dating back in 2011, but called it quits 2012. The couple always seemed to be on each other's radars. They stunned fans in early late 2017 when news of their reunion began circulating on the internet. The pair were spotted out on dates, going on bike rides and even kissing. Fans of the couple known as "Jelena" were over the moon about the reconciliation, but it didn't last long.

People Magazine reports that by March 2018, reports were flying that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had split and were taking a break from the relationship. However, the couple's break up seemed to become permanent as they have not gotten back together, and are currently not on speaking terms, according to sources.

"They were having a lot of little disagreements recently and one fight in particular blew up and caused them to decide to 'break up,' however, they've been in contact the entire time and their feelings for each other have not changed. They will absolutely get back together and they are not over, but they both need some time away from each other," a source told HL at the time of the split.

Justin Bieber is reportedly "crushed" that Selena Gomez is moving on from their relationship, and is allegedly searching her social media accounts for any signs that she may be ready to reconnect. The couple have not been seen together since their most recent split.

Benny Blanco Pens Letter to Kanye: 'Thank U For Making My Childhood Dreams Come True'

Benny Blanco has plenty of accolades under his belt. The songwriter/producer has worked with megastars like Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and Ariana Grande, and has also received a number of prestigious honors, including Grammys and the Hal David Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Though all of this is incredibly impressive—especially when you consider Blanco is only 30 years old—it seems one of his biggest career milestones was reached Thursday night, when Kanye West dropped his highly anticipated eighth studio album Ye.

Blanco received writing and producer credits on not one, but two cuts from the project: the opener, "I Thought About Killing You" and "Ghost Town," featuring John Legend, 070 Shake, and Kid Cudi.

Hours after the album's debut, Blanco shared a heartfelt letter addressed to Kanye. He thanked the rapper not only for allowing him to contribute to Ye, but for also inspiring his music career.

"Dear Kanye West, thank u for making my childhood dreams come true. the 14 year old in me is crying tears of joy right now," Blanco wrote on Instagram. "I remember leaving my grandmothers house in east orange new jersey back home to virginia and seeing a man on the side of the road selling bootleg copies of the college dropout... i went home and listened to it so much that it became so scratched i couldn't even play it."

Blanco went on to describe how he studied and dissected Kanye's debut album, which ultimately shaped his approach to music-making.

"I looked up every single sample on the album and spent months trying to recreate the beats," he wrote. "[…] 'Last Call' gave every young kid not doing shit the hope to keep going... i used to blast 'Spaceship' lines doing 5 beats a day for 3 summers... as my mantra."

He continued: "Kanye not only did u shape me but u shaped every contemporary producer out now whether they like to believe it or not. u r the definition of a legend. thank you. also thank u to Francis (and the Lights) for believing in me enough to bring me on this wave."

You can read the full letter below.

Kanye premiered Ye during an exclusive listening session Thursday night in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The album marks the second G.O.O.D. Music drop of the season, following Pusha-T's DAYTONA. Next week, Kanye is expected to drop Kids See Ghost, his collaborative project with Cudi.

Nina Nesbitt on playing TRNSMT, fans in the US and finding a sound she's happy with

SHE may be just 23, but Scots star Nina Nesbitt has packed a lot into her musical career so far.

From singing the national anthem at Hampden ahead of a Scotland match to supporting Justin Bieber, the Edinburgh-born singer has been evolving her style along the way.

And the culmination of her evolution so far is the release of her second album later this year.

Before that though, she gets the chance to shine in front of a Scots audience at Glasgow's TRNSMT.

Nina Nesbitt at a media event ahead of the TRNSMT festival

Speaking to The Sunday Post, Nina said she's 'very excited' to take to The King Tut's Stage at this year's expanded festival on July 8.

She says: "It'll be my first year playing it, and I haven't been before so I'm excited to see what it's all about and to play a Scottish festival which is my favourite.

"I love playing Glasgow headline shows but I've never played a festival here so I'm looking forward to it."

Nina has spent much of 2018 touring across the US, playing South by Southwest in March and then a number of shows both as a headliner and support.

"It was an amazing experience," she says. "I was there for almost three months, doing a tour with Jake Bugg and a headline tour on the back of that.

"It's a completely different experience to anything here, it's so big and the travelling's insane but getting to meet people that have been listening for six or seven years and have waited that long is amazing."

[embedded content]

A music obsessive since her early years and first signed to a label aged 17, Nina has kept up with and grown a fanbase online.

Her presence on social media and working with streaming platform Spotify has played a big part in her popularity outwith her homeland.

"It's crazy, I think the internet gives that opportunity to artists," she says. "I looked at my Spotify insights and America's the biggest streaming territory for me so we thought, why not go there!"

On her return to the UK, Nina has been playing dates across the country including some Scottish gigs.

"I did a UK tour which just ended last week, playing Aberdeen and Edinburgh which was great," she says.

"It's different to anywhere else playing in your home country because it's people that have been listening and coming along since I was a kid essentially."

As she says, many fans have been with her from the early days.

As a teenager, her talents were spotted by Ed Sheeran, who was so impressed that he invited her on his European tour.

Catapulted into the limelight, Nina then released debut album Peroxide in 2014.

Her musical style has evolved in the following years, partly due to relocating down south and involving others in the creative process.

She's also turned her hand to producing, having been dropped by a previous label and deciding to go it alone.

"I think moving to London opened my ears to lots of sounds," she admits.

"When I first started off I'd never written with anyone else so working with loads of other people, collaborating, learning what I'm good at and what I'm not so good at has allowed me to create a sound I'm happy with."

Nina's second album is due for release this year, and the tracks unveiled so far have proved a hit worldwide.

Last summer's single The Moments I'm Missing was followed by The Best You Had, which became her top streamed song on Spotify.

A third single from the album, Somebody Special, was released early this year, and new track The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change has been featured in US comedy drama Life Sentence.

Nina also joined Sasha Sloan and Charlotte Lawrence for the first Spotify Single collaboration to mark Women's History Month.

And if that wasn't enough as part of a packed 2018 schedule for the star, she joins fellow TRNSMT performer Lewis Capaldi on tour later this year.

"It's busy that's for sure!" she laughs.

"There'll be new music over the summer and the album will be out by the end of the year."

Nina was speaking at a TRNSMT media event to showcase acts performing on the King Tut's Stage, as well as launching Platform On Tour, this year's street food offering at the festival

Nina will perform on the July 8 date, visit trnsmtfest.com for tickets and information

Acton Bowen facing new sex charge in Bay County, Florida

The list of sexual abuse accusations against evangelist Acton Bowen has crossed state lines. Bowen was charged with lewd or lascivious battery in Bay County, Florida according to the local sheriff's office.

The charge was filed on May 23rd. According to Florida state law, a person commits lewd or lascivious battery by engaging in sexual activity with a person 12 years of age or older but less than 16 years of age or encouraging, forcing, or enticing any person less than 16 years of age to engage in sexual activity.

The news confirmed statements made in court by prosecutors back in April. "Many more charges" were expected to be filed against Acton Bowen said Etowah County Deputy District Attorney Carol Griffith at the time.

Prosecutors told a judge at the time that more potential victims had been discovered in Orange Beach, Alabama and across state lines in Florida and Colorado. The FBI had become involved into the investigation prosecutors revealed.

Bowen remained in the Etowah County Jail on Friday. He was being held on a $1.06 million bond. A hold was placed on Bowen for the new charge in Florida in case he made bond. Bowen's attorney has appealed to the Alabama Criminal Court of Appeals to have his bond in Etowah County reduced.

Seven people in Alabama claim they were sexually abused by the well known Alabama pastor. A Jefferson County grand jury indicted Bowen on at least two of three sex charges related to testimony from a boy between 12 and 16-years-old. Hoover Police described the boy as a family acquaintance. The alleged victims claim the pastor sexually abused them for months or years in complaints which date back from 2006 to as recently as April.

It remained unclear Friday whether the charge in Florida was based off testimony from one of the six people claiming abuse or a new person claiming to be a victim.

Bowen had worked as a youth minister nearly a decade ago at the CrossPoint Community Church before it closed. There he worked closely with students from Coosa Christian School where he also graduated. In an exclusive interview with ABC 33/40 News, Bowen said his son spent much of his adult life mentoring young children,

"Parents encourage their children to be in Acton's presence and Acton's guidance and Acton's ministry because Acton has a passion for what he does and it's a God-given gift."

"Acton Bowen is a danger to every child in this community," said District Attorney Jody Willoughby.

Bowen, a well known pastor and evangelist, is the founder of Acton Bowen Outreach Ministries. The Southside resident has served as a contributor on Fox News and has been reported to have served as a spiritual mentor to Hollywood celebrities including Justin Bieber. His defense attorneys admitted Tuesday that Bowen's career in ministry is likely over regardless of the verdict.

Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez: He's 'Searching' Her Instagram For 'Signs' She Wants Him Back

Persistence is key! Justin Bieber has NOT given up on Selena Gomez. We've got EXCLUSIVE details on why her latest Instagram posts have been making it hard for him to move on!

Justin Bieber's relationship with Selena Gomez may be over, but she's still on his mind. "Justin and Selena are not in contact right now, but that hasn't stopped him from keeping an eye on her Instagram," a source close to the Biebs tells HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. "He doesn't follow her, but he still checks her page and her last few posts have got him all twisted," the source continued. "She's been promoting her video for 'Back to You' and posting certain lyrics from the song that make it seem like she's still thinking about Justin, or at least that's how Justin is taking it," the source added.

And what exactly were those lyrics, you ask? Well, on May 31, Selena posted a cryptic photo with the words "I know I'd go back to you," plastered on top. So, you can understand why it's got JB all worked up. Then, on another post she used the lyrics "I wanna hold you/when I'm not supposed to." That's definitely a message for Justin! "He's asking people's opinions and everyone's telling him to just accept he can't figure Selena out and try and forget about her," our insider said. "That's just not possible for him to do though, he hasn't forgotten about her, not even close," the insider added.

I mean, in Justin's defense, it's only been a few months since they decided to take some time apart. Feelings definitely don't go away that fast. "He's still crushed that she's move on from him, so he's desperately looking for signs that she wants him back," our source continued. We certainly can't wait to see the finished project of this video, maybe then Justin will have some clarity.

Keith Urban snuck into South Carolina for an 'elite' concert. There are photos to prove it

There have been so many celebrities in the Lowcountry recently, it's getting hard to keep track.

John Travolta and Morgan Freeman have been spotted around Savannah this week while filming "The Poison Rose." Millie Bobby Brown, the teen superstar from "Stranger Things," was reportedly visiting Hilton Head Island last weekend.

And on May 24, one of the biggest names in country music managed to give a private concert in Palmetto Bluff with very few people knowing he was in the area.

However, there is a whole lot of proof on social media showing that Keith Urban performed at Montage Palmetto Bluff last Thursday.

A post on Instagram by retired race car driver Scott Pruett, a celebrity in his own right and inductee into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, shows Urban riffing on his guitar.

The caption on the video thanks Lexus USA for the #upcloseandpersonal concert.

Other photos on Pruett's Instagram page indicate the retired-driver-turned-vineyard-owner is in the Lowcountry. One photo shows an alligator with the caption, "Not everyday you see this outside your room!" and another shows a limited edition RC F Lexus parked outside a building of a similar style to those at Palmetto Bluff.

None of Pruett's own photos are tagged with a specific location.

That isn't true for other photos shared from Urban's concert, however.

Peter Cooper, a executive with a Lexus dealership in Pennsylvania, posted a photo on Instagram from Urban's concert and also posted a photo of Pruett.

Cooper's photos are geotagged "Montage Palmetto Bluff" and the caption also includes #palmettobluff.

In Cooper's photo, Urban has donned what appears to be a denim jacket several patches. Lights in the background create a checkerboard of light.

Another photo posted on Instagram by a user named "thetraveleer.1" shows Urban posing for a photo. That photo shows the same checkerboard of lights in the background and is tagged as being taken at Palmetto Bluff.

"So this happened" the caption of the photo reads. It includes hashtags #keithurban, #southcarolina, #palmettobluff and #montage

Lexus of Peoria, a dealership in Illinois, also posted video of Urban's concert on Instagram including the hashtag #LexusElite.

The Elite of Lexus Program appears to be a recognition for dealerships meeting particular standards in sales and customer service. The program rules say that "winning dealerships receive an invitation to attend a prestigious recognition trip."

All the photos and videos were posted on May 24.

On May 26, Urban performed at the Tree Town Music Festival in Forest City, Iowa.

He is scheduled to begin his Graffiti U Worldwide Tour on June 15 in St. Louis, according to The Tennessean.

This certainly isn't the first time celebrities have been spotted at the Lowcountry resort that was recently named the No. 2 resort in the South by Southern Living.

In August, Justin Bieber was reportedly spotted at Palmetto Bluff and posted about it on his Snapchat.

That same month, Victoria's Secret Angel Lindsay Ellingson took a vacation at the high-end Bluffton destination, according to her Instagram. The supermodel was married at the Inn at Palmetto Bluff in 2014. Grammy winner Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers visited Palmetto Bluff last fall for a wedding.

Justin Bieber Fans Threaten TV Host Who Posted About Old DUI Arrest

Justin Bieber's fans are making death threats to a TV host who talked this week about covering his DUI arrest from several years ago on social media.

Christina Nicholson tells The Blast that she was posting on her Instagram story about the arrest as part of a marketing video about news gathering. Not long after her social media posts, Nicholson says she started receiving angry, threatening messages from Bieber's fans.

Nicholson says she was trying "to make a point about news happening all the time. Apparently, his fans weren't happy I was bringing it back up."

Justin Bieber fans
The Blast

That is putting things mildly. Beliebers began direct messaging Nicholson, posting about her on their own Instastories and commenting on her other posts calling her a "bitch" and writing things like, "All Beliebers pray for your death."

The photo below was taken from Nicholson's original post and reposted by a Bieber fan who tagged her in the post and wrote: "she should die."

Bieber
The Blast

Justin's fans have been known to harass and threaten users on social media in the past and in 2016 they actually turned on Bieber himself, forcing him to delete his account.

Nicholson says she is frustrated that there isn't a better way to report these types of threats to Instagram. She tells us she's clicked the "report" button for each of the messages and sent an email to Instagram but received no response so far.

The threats are continuing despite the fact that her initial Instagram story is disappearing from her feed.

"Do I think these Beliebers are going to kill me? No… not really," she told The Blast. "Do I think there are some mental issues here that could escalate some place, some time? Yes."

In one particularly disturbing message, a fan who goes by @boy_beliebers, wrote "u srsly gonna dead" and included an image of Justin Bieber appearing to point a handgun at the camera.

Justin Bieber
The Blast

"In light of the social media use, mental illness, and what we find out AFTER shootings are committed, I think it's important to address these messages," Nicholson said. "People who send messages like these people are not right in the head and clearly cannot deal with emotions in a healthy way. Not to mention, this is illegal and they are using Instagram to do it."

Justin Bieber addressed his former brush with the law just last year on the same medium his fans are using to harass Nicholson. He posted a copy of his mugshots with the hashtag #neveragain.

The Blast reached out to Instagram for comment but has not heard back yet.

YouTuber spreads positive vibes

All over the nation and across the globe in places like Brazil, Portugal and even Israel, 19-year-old Christian Garcia is known as an "influencer" — someone who earns quite a bit of "likes," to say the least. The older folk may not know him or understand what he does, but those between the ages of 12 to 20 know all about his online escapades.

"We have fun," said Garcia, who will answer any question about his work by tapping on his phone — which (by the way) is signed by pop idol Selena Gomez. He holds up the screen and says, "Here, let me show you." He scans colorful photos of himself in front of a candy pink flamingo background or surrounded by the dazzling colors of the Cambria Christmas light tunnel. Some are of him and his other famous YouTube or Instagrammer friends. One is with Demi Lovato. THE Demi Lovato.

Garcia, an Atascadero resident, had just returned from his weekly trip to L.A. to film at the YouTube studio with his agent and go to the same Sunday church service that Justin Bieber goes to.

Garcia was tired and wanted to play with his pet bunny and hang out with his sister, but that didn't keep him from laughing his easy laugh and giggling at just about everything. Garcia — friendly, likable, downright irresistible — has figured out how to live a joyful, unconventional life as an online personality.

But as much as his business is based on self-promotion, Garcia remains humble to the fame, using the virtual stage as more of a way to spread good vibes. He is a faithful Christian and starts the day in prayer. He will be the first to say he feels compelled to make the world better by living in kindness.

"It's like people will see the fruits of what you're giving the world," he said. "If you're being rude behind closed doors, it will show. It's better to be a good person in general. You never know when someone is going through something. And it could really impact them."

Garcia has the social media empire down to a science and the young entrepreneur is thriving on several platforms. With more than 350,000 Instagram followers, more than 100,000 views on each of his popular, kid-friendly YouTube videos, and a half-a-million followers on Snapchat, his goal this year is to reach 400,000 on Instagram, buy himself a Mercedes G Wagon, travel the World, and make more YouTube videos for his channel.

Eventually, he'd like to help out his family to reciprocate all the support they've given him.

Mostly, however, he wants to be a friend to as many people as possible. He said he didn't have many friends when he was growing up, so he would like to make that time up. He believes in positivity and the power of good intentions and that "everything happens for a reason." He wants to inspire the next generation. At the cusp of Generation Y himself, his target audience will be the Z Generation as well.

"I want to be your friend," he said. It's that simple.

Garcia likes to share "fun facts" about himself to connect with others. He is "obsessed" with local coffee shops like Scout Coffee Co. (#2) and their fabulous latte art. He's sponsored by Lemonade (the brand) so that's what he drinks in all his Instagram posts. He loves acai bowls, California donuts (especially the Panda one, he says you can only find in L.A.), bright colors – especially when it comes to tie-dye, and positive thinking. His likes and obsessions set the trends in the social media world, which is the reason "influencers" like Garcia, and his good friend, Karina Garcia, gather sponsors.

The other Garcia (not related) and Garcia made collaborated on a DYI Starbuck Ombre Slime video that amassed 164,000 views on YouTube ten months ago. His other popular uploads were "The Real Meaning Of The Holidays and Christmas" and "Things to Do This Winter." He's very proud of his #14,219 popularity rating on the Famous Birthdays app (https://www.famousbirthdays.com/people/christian-garcia-instagramstar.html), which rates the most popular entertainers according to fan votes (rather than corporations).

And though he never planned the path his life has led so far, he's enjoying the ride and making the most of it. He's working on a worship album with his sister and a devotional book chock-full of advice for young people. "I'm actually doing what God's calling me to do," Garcia said.

Garcia said he wakes up each morning telling himself it's going to be an amazing day that inspires people. "It isn't about me," he said. "It's about what God is sending me to do. My mindset is: 'What good are you going to do for somebody?' How am I going to show God's love to somebody today?"

Garcia is also known in these parts. He is an Atascaderan — He went to Monterey Road Elementary, Atascadero Junior High, graduated early from AHS and Del Rio.

"All of the teachers at school follow me on Instagram," he said with a laugh. He said all their support has been "mind-blowing." Garcia likes to give back as well. He said, "Those types of things make me happy. And so he helps out with Lighthouse events and volunteers with and Santa's House in SLO.

Garcia's family consists of Omar, his father, who works at Atascadero State Hospital, and his mother Alejandra. He has two sisters: Denise and Lucero.

Garcia said his family has believed in him ever since he was young. By age seven, he was singing at local county fairs around the state.

His first big break was competing on the Latin-American version of the "X Factor" at age 11, when he made it to the final 60. After that, he said his sister Denise (age 16) urged him to start making videos and his dad bought the siblings a camera to film videos.

"Back in 2014, YouTube was not popular for Millennials," Garcia said. "It wasn't a thing." But his sister, his biggest cheerleader, took him to downtown SLO and ordered him to make a video. Garcia's first video was entitled simply, "How to have a better day." The video presented some straightforward advice: Get outside. Read a book. Talk to a friend.

"It skyrocketed," said Garcia, who said the video received 30,000 views, making it onto the "popular" page. Garcia's fans are mostly teens. Last summer he showed up at the Ravine Water Park for a "Meet and Greet" and about 40 kids showed up to meet him. His YouTube channel aims for the 12 to 14-aged crowd. His Instagram is more for young teens.

"My YouTube thing started blowing up and I started collaborating with other YouTubers," Garcia said.

Garcia and his YouTuber friend Karina Garcia soon found themselves on Good Morning America explaining the whole 'slime' trend.

Nowadays Garcia's YouTube channel is signed by BroadbandTV. He said the agent who signed him helped him learn about business — something he had no idea about before. "I was just walking in deep waters," he said. But the YouTube staff saw his potential as an influencer.

"You have to have a lot of faith in yourself," said Garcia to those who want to try their hand at social media. "You have to believe in yourself – You need a ground to stand on. Because if you forget where you came from, that's not good, so you have to learn a lot before getting into this."

Garcia patiently explained the intricacies of making money on YouTube. He said getting "views," not subscribers, brings in the payments. He said people who have millions of subscribers may only be getting 100,000 views. But for each 1,000 views, he said, YouTubers make about $3,000. Social media can be a lucrative business for a young man like Garcia. He said just last year he made $30,000 on YouTube alone. He also consults for SLO county businesses looking to expand their social media presence. With Instagram, Garcia collaborates with different brands as an ambassador (basically sampling the products on his various mediums). He will be starting a campaign with Calvin Klein starting this summer. But Garcia said he would like to be more financially stable. He said the PayPal payments are pretty up and down. He'd like to be in the same position as some of the top "influencers," who are making a typical year's salary in just one month.

"There's money and stuff — but if you just focus on the money, it's not going to make you happy," Garcia said. "If you really love social media, pursue it and you will have it. It happened with me. It could happen with just anyone. But you have to really love it. I've seen people get into this and they're just doing it for the wrong reasons. I love showing positivity. Social media is bringing up the next generation. They're the ones who are going to be taking over... They're the ones who are going to be changing the world. That's why I believe if you show positivity, many young kids are going to see that."

Garcia's next meet and greet will be in Pismo Beach. Check out his Instagram page for more information, coming soon. He will be hosting a talk on social media for students at Paloma Creek High School, 10801 El Camino Real, Atascadero on June 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  for students. Drake & Lil Baby Rule On-Demand Streaming Songs Chart With 'Yes Indeed'

It's Drake's ninth No. 1 & Lil Baby's first.

Drake is back atop Billboard's On-Demand Streaming Songs chart -- and this time, he's brought Lil Baby with him.

"Yes Indeed" by Lil Baby and Drake rises to No. 1 on the chart dated June 2 in its second week on the ranking, shooting 12-1. It grabs 32.2 million on-demand audio streams in its first full week on streaming services -- in the week ending May 24, according to Nielsen Music. The track was released on May 15, in the middle of the previous tracking week (ending May 17).

Overall, in total streams in the week ending May 24, the song racked up up 39.5 million streams total, good enough to jump 33-2 on Streaming Songs.

It's Drake's ninth On-Demand Streaming Songs No. 1, extending his record for the most chart-toppers on the list (Justin Bieber is second with six). In 2018 alone, Drake has led the list with three different songs -- "God's Plan" (nine weeks), "Nice for What" (four) and "Yes Indeed" (one).

Lil Baby, meanwhile, becomes the first act in 2018 to lead the ranking with their first-charting title (and the first to do since Cardi B with "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)" in September 2017).

The song concurrently shoots into the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Drake's 26th top 10 and Lil Baby's first as it jumps 49-6.

5@5: A morning playlist featuring Ruel and TWOGOOD

This 5@5 morning playlist consists of LegPuppy, Ruel, TWOGOOD, and more.

LegPuppy – Meds and Beer (Submission)

How could this not be in your morning playlists? It acknowledges the things most people dread including spreadsheets and Powerpoint. I have yet to meet anyone who is excited to make Powerpoint presentations. If you see them, please, point them out. We are at the end of the week, so it doesn't necessarily fit today's agendas, but before we know it, Monday will be here before we know it. I am unsure if medications and a cold brew go together, but I wouldn't suddenly find inspiration by way of this article. Consult with your parents or your doctor, first. Listen to the British band LegPuppy's release below. It released today, June 1.

Ruel – Dazed & Confused (Submission)

Signifying the state of confusion, the official video for Ruel's latest single glitches out. Moreover, there's nothing like a commanding voice to get a clear message across. Sometimes, we come across people who tend to knock us off of our feet. At times, we cannot handle it. Other times, we become obsessed. It's been happening since the beginning of time. If you are a fan of Justin Bieber, you may like the Sydney, Australia-native artist, Ruel. 'Dazed & Confused' is from his forthcoming EP entitled, 'Ready'. It comes out on June 15 through RCA Records.

Cautious Clay – Call Me (Submission)

Singing about the reality of life, Cautious Clay taps into his supreme nature on his latest release, 'Call Me'. How many people do you know who are only around for the happy times? Unfortunately, I knew those types, too. It's inevitable. That's life, but thankfully, I knew how to get rid of those kinds of people. The moment you have the strength to get rid of them, your life seems to get better. Do yourselves a favour. Find the strength. And when you do, they'll reach back out to you when you least expect it. Do you know what you'll do at that moment? Ask them to call you by name, to call you their saviour (blasphemy aside, of course). If you like music by Kid Cudi, you may like Cautious Clay. Give him your time. He's worth it.

The High Breed – Daydream (Submission)

In a dark soundscape, The High Breed raps about race in an unorthodox way. I connected to 'Daydream' based on the vibe. It's not much about the words. If I heard this playing in the morning, it would wake me up.

TWOGOOD – Raindrops featuring Maddy (Submission)

It just has such a good vibe. How could you not like this song? Right away, it puts you in the mood to dance, smile and love someone. The duo, TWOGOOD, comprised of Tom and Jon have sold out shows across London, Leeds, and Bristol. They have also opened for Disclosure, Bondax, and the one and only Grandmaster Flash, the Hip-Hop legend known for making 'The Message'.

A Lil Dicky Comedy Show Is Coming To FX, So Get Ready For Some Major Laughs

I can't believe I'm saying this, but you know who deserves his own TV show? Lil Dicky. I haven't always been a huge fan of the rapper and comedian, but the release of "Freaky Friday" totally changed that, and now, I'm desperate for more Lil Dicky. As it turns out, my wishes are about to come true: A Lil Dicky comedy show is coming to FX, and you know it's about to be ah-mazing. No, it's not Freaky Friday, guys. This is actually happening, so get ready for some major laughs.

According to Variety, the FX series will be inspired by Lil Dicky's transformation from Dave Burd — I definitely didn't know that was his real name — into a world famous music star. "The series is centered around a suburban neurotic man in his late twenties who has convinced himself that he's destined to be one of the best rappers of all time. Now, he must convince the world," writes Variety. Sound familiar, anyone?

As if a series about (and starring) Lil Dicky weren't exciting enough, the show will also be heavily influenced by other music and comedy greats. The iconic comedian Kevin Hart will serve as executive producer via his production company Hartbeat Productions, and Scooter Braun — manager of Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and more A-list stars — will also have an executive producer credit on the still-untitled show. In addition, The League creator Jeff Schaffer co-created the story with Lil Dicky, so if you love The League's hilarious and often-inappropriate tone, chances are you'll be obsessed with the new Lil Dicky comedy.

Lil Dicky on YouTube

But before you get too excited about Lil Dicky's new series, I have some less than amazing news: FX has done nothing more than order a pilot for the comedy series. Rather than give the show a full-season order, FX is playing it safe by waiting to see the completed pilot before committing to any more episodes. I guess that's fair considering that you never know exactly what Lil Dicky will come up with. But that being said, I'm confident that Lil Dicky's pilot (which he wrote, because of course he did) will impress FX so much that they just give him an Emmy right then and there. That's totally how it works, right?

As for the actual of the content of the show, that's anyone's guess. In addition to writing and starring in the pilot, Lil Dicky will serve as the "executive producer for music," according to Variety, so I'm assuming that the show will feature some new original music. Would you expect anything less? Maybe we'll get an inside look into Lil Dicky's songwriting process — or maybe we'll just see him strike out with multiple women and then get some serious writer's block as he tries to write about it. Yeah, the second seems a little more likely.

Lil Dicky on YouTube

After the massive success of "Freaky Friday," it's not shocking that a TV network would be interested in pursuing some kind of show about Lil Dicky. The rapper/comedian has been on the scene since his "Ex-Boyfriend" video went viral on YouTube in 2013, but "Freaky Friday" took him to a whole new level. I mean, not just anyone could convince Kendall Jenner to sing, "I'm Kendall Jenner. I got a vagina!" in a song featuring Chris Brown, DJ Khaled, and Ed Sheeran.

Now that I think about it, if the Lil Dicky series could explain how all these stars agreed to make cameos in "Freaky Friday," that would be great. I'm desperate to know what it's like to have DJ Khaled, Kendall Jenner, and Ed Sheeran in a room together. Oh well... I guess I'll have to wait until Season 3 to find out.

Shawn Mendes Getting Compared To Justin Bieber Is Absolute Trash And He Knows It

If former Vine star and chart-topping hitmaker Shawn Mendes is the white-toothed perfect boy next door of the music industry, Justin Bieber is the heavily-tatted high school dropout that just won't seem to go away. While I'll freely admit that Bieber has cranked out some certified bops following his return from disgrace at the 2015 VMAs and served up iconic summer jams like "I'm The One" and "Despacito," the pop star's lit fuse temperament and spoiled brat behavior took me off his #Belieber stan list a LONG time ago.

Now, in what was surely an attempt to curry favor with Bieber, Mendes finally spoke out about the constant comparisons between the two A-listers.

Shawn Mendes getting compared to Justin Bieber

"One thing people may not know about me is how much I look up to Bieber. I don't think I've ever truly told him he was my main inspiration for what I wanted to do," said Mendes in a recent interview with Rolling Stone. "I learned every one of his songs by heart. He taught me how to riff and sing. So every time someone asks me about Bieber, I always say, 'That's the biggest compliment you could give me.'"

Really, Mendes? Your idol and inspiration is a fellow industry mate who admittedly didn't even know your name after you blew up and spelled your name wrong in an Instagram caption?

Just because Bieber knows how to nail a vocal run doesn't mean that he's worthy of Mendes' praise, and I can't help but pick up on the vibe that the "In My Blood" singer is fishing for another social media shoutout from the fallen star. Also, it's important to note that Mendes is allegedly hooking up with Bieber's ex, model Hailey Baldwin

Let it go, Mendes. Bieber is in no position to come after ANYONE, let alone pop's current golden child.

Every good summer needs a hot, sweaty soundtrack and with this single I've set out to encapsulate that feel-good vibe, which I believe will have people everywhere jumping, dancing and singing along! Get ready to 'SWEAT'!"

'Sweat' follows a history of success for John. His breakout single 'Would I Lie To You' landed him at Number 1 on Shazam and over 33 million streams on Spotify. John Gibbons' music story began at the young age of 15 when he quickly became a staple name in Dublin's growing cub scene and a regular feature on pirate radio stations. Shortly after, he earned a slot on Spin 1038 and began touring internationally and has continued his rise to the top since.

Building up to the release of 'Sweat', John toured with Justin Bieber, Tiesto, Jax Jones and Craig David amongst others in the past 12 months, in addition to remixing numerous hit singles including Anne Marie's global smash 'Heavy'.  He also had a sold out show at the iconic 'Olympia Theatre' in Dublin, not to mention his 100+ million streams on Spotify. Bella Hadid Looks Lost In The Weeknd's Eyes On Secret Dinner Date In Paris

Bella Hadid and The Weeknd continue to fuel rumors that they're officially back together! The on-again, off-again exes stepped out for a romantic dinner date in Paris and Bella looks like she's on cloud 9! See the adorable photos!

Bella Hadid, 21, is smitten with The Weeknd, 28, and it's written all over her face! The model and singer stepped out for a sweet dinner date in Paris on May 31, where Bella looked happier than ever as she gazed at her ex across the table. The Weeknd even posted a video of his beverage with Bella in the background, where you could hear her ask, "Are you taking a video of the bubble?" — See it all below!

The exes (or not) seem like they're on their way to rekindling their romance, if haven't already. Bella and The Weeknd have been spending a ton of time together while in France. First, rumors that they were on again sparked back in April, when the two were reportedly spotted kissing at Coachella. Just when things died down, Bella and The Weeknd were caught kissing at the beach-front Magnum x Alexander Wang party at the Cannes Film Festival on May 10. The next after that, they were seen once again at a black tie screening of Ash is the Purest White, where they sat together. And, their Cannes love fest continued when the singer showed up to watch the model walk in the Fashion for Relief show.

Bella and The Weeknd dated began dating in 2015 and split in the fall of 2016. The singer then moved on with Selena Gomez, 25, in January 2017. Meanwhile, Bella focused on her work. The Weeknd and Sel split in October 2017, when she decided to get back with her ex, Justin Bieber, 24. And, The Weeknd followed in her footsteps, hence this little dinner date (below).

Bella's date with her on-again, off-again ex came after she finally addressed those pesky plastic surgery rumors that have been swirling about her. "People think I got all this surgery or did this or that. And you know what? — We can do a scan of my face, darling," she told InStyle. "I'm scared of putting fillers into my lips," she admitted, adding, "I wouldn't want to mess up my face."

How data analyst Lisa Mishra from Chicago became famous overnight, thanks to Sonam Kapoor

It all started when Chicago-based data analyst Lisa Mishra attempted a mash-up of 'Tarefaan' from Veere Di Wedding and 'Let me love you' from DJ Snake featuring Justin Bieber and posted it to her Instagram. "I loved the song the first time I heard it, so I thought I'd give it a shot," says Lisa. Little did she know that Sonam Kapoor would love her version even more, and ask her to fly down to Mumbai to shoot a reprise video of it.

"I was driving back from work when I saw that Sonam had reposted the video on her page, and suddenly, I was flooded with comments from her dad, Anil Kapoor, and her brother, Harshvardhan Kapoor. Ekta Kapoor reposted the video on her page too. Soon, Rhea sent me a DM on Instagram asking me when was the earliest I could fly to Mumbai," recalls Lisa in shock. "It was so surreal for me; I felt like I was living a Cinderella story. It was top secret; none of my friends knew about it till Sonam posted the video," says the self-taught singer, who works in data analytics and codes for a living.

At 3 am on Sunday, the flight to Mumbai was booked, and 24 hours later, Lisa found herself sitting with Sonam, Rhea, Kareena and the rest of the Veere Di Wedding team, all set to record the video. "It was all so sudden. The movie had a week to go for its release, and here I was, with hair and make-up artists and stylists standing over me, prepping me up for the video." Out of her 5 day trip, she spent 2 days recording the song. "It was so much fun. Sonam and Rhea made me feel like I was family," she says.

The best part, Lisa shares, was when she saw Kareena. "She's my childhood idol, and when I saw her, I completely froze," she says. "Now that I'm back, I feel like it was all a dream." The singer, who has been sharing her music on Instagram and Youtube for the last 11 years, says she's seen a huge spike in her fan following after the Tarefaan Reprise video"I told Sonam that I blame her for my phone constantly crashing," she laughs.

World Cup: Sergio Ramos releases song for Spain

Sergio Ramos on Instagram

It's safe to say Sergio Ramos didn't make many new fans after his exploits in the Champions League final.

So how does he try and change his villainous, bad boy persona? By turning into football's answer to Justin Bieber.

The Real Madrid defender and Spain captain has released his own World Cup 2018 song alongside Spanish singer Demarco Flamenco, called 'Otra Estrella en tu Corazon' - which translates to 'Another star in your heart'.

The lyrics include: "Come on, Spain, raise your voice; scream loudly, shout that goal. Thinking big we will achieve the best, fighting together, towards the star with honour. We have to try. May La Roja shine once more."

Ramos teased the video on his Instagram page and the accompanying music video, complete with boyband-style fist-clenching, has already had over 82,000 views since its release on Friday.

This isn't the first time the 32-year-old has flirted with the pop star life. He also sang lead vocals for Spain's Euro 2016 song 'La Roja Baila' - which is more of a Eurovision 'classic' than his latest mid-tempo Spanish ballad.

We'll let you decide for yourself if it's the best or worst thing since Despacito...

Love Island Australia contestants – from a dog walker to Justin Bieber's 'fling' to John James from ...

Love Island Australia cast includes Justin Bieber's ex and John James from Big Brother
The Love Island Australia hopefuls – (L-R) Natasha, Tayla, Erin, Cassidy, Millie, Charlie, Eden, Justin, Grant and Josh (Picture: Channel Nine)

Love Island Australia is proving to be just as outrageous as last summer's UK version of the show, as it debuts its first-ever series Down Under.

Its contestants include one of Justin Bieber's alleged past flames, a keen nurse and John James from the 2010 series of the British Big Brother. Random, eh?

Having started last week, there are rumours flying that the Australian sex-obsessed contestants could merge with the cast of the new UK series, which launches on Monday 4 June, in a show first.

With that in mind, we thought it high time we got to know the Australian swimsuit-loving singletons…

Tayla, 21

Beauty queen Tayla made the decision to stop dating as she found it hard to trust men. But she's optimistic that will change in Love Island and she's looking for someone taller than her with a stable job and someone who is family orientated.

Natasha, 24

Beauty salon owner Natasha has dated multi-millionaires in the past and is looking for a tall man with big muscles. She loves rugby players and says 'having a boat would be a plus'. So she's not setting her sights too high then.

In fact, she revealed she had to sign a non-disclosure agreement after hooking up with a celeb, and although she didn't say who, it was very much hinted by the show narrator that she was talking about Justin Bieber.

Cassidy, 23

Cassidy Credit: Channel Nine
(Picture: Channel Nine)

Cassidy is a self-confessed country girl who works as a bartender and has a penchant for 'raunchy' novels. She hasn't had sex in eight months though and is ready to break her dry spell.

Erin, 23

(Picture: Channel Nine)

Nurse Erin is 'half Portuguese' and admits she's very loud and always wants to get what she wants. She's looking for someone as feisty as her – and someone who loves Disney movies.

Millie, 24

(Picture: Channel Nine)

As a doggie daycare worker, Millie loves animals and is always up for a laugh. She says she can be persuaded to do just about anything for a giggle, so she'd better make sure she doesn't get herself into trouble in the villa.

Josh, 25

(Picture: Channel Nine)

Sports administrator Josh blames his wandering eye on his genetics, which pretty much tells you all you need to know about him. Oh, and he's also hooked up with his friend's girlfriend before.

Justin, 27

(Picture: Channel Nine)

Sure to be one of the popular boys in the house, Justin is an international model who also works as a concreter for his dad's business. He's after someone who wants to be with him all the time and wants a loyal girlfriend.

Eden, 25

Prison officer Eden has quite a type – a girl 'must have big boobs, big booty, some lip fillers, all round good body'. He says his relationships typically end as he gets bored very easily. Let's hope his stay in the villa isn't so long he gets bored then.

Charlie, 22

(Picture: Channel Nine)

Charlie might be right up Natasha's street, given he's an international rugby player. He's also represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games and despite having a tonne of Instagram followers, he's decided to go on Love Island to find a girl with 'at least a C cup'. Oh – but he doesn't mind if they're blonde or brunette. Guess redheads are out then…

Grant 22

Grant Credit: Channel Nine
(Picture: Channel Nine)

Electrician Grant lives at home and wants to settle down as soon as possible. He says he's often told he's too young to settle down, which he finds rather annoying.

John James

John James was one of Love Island Australia's new arrivals – and he's rather familiar with British audience. Fans will remember him from the final Channel 4 series of Big Brother back in 2010, during which he struck up a romance with series winner Josie Gibson. They dated following the show but split in 2011, when John moved back to Oz.

The new series of Love Island kicks off with a 95-minute special Love Island 2018: The Arrival, on ITV2 on Monday June 4 at 9pm.

So far, Love Island Australia has garnered a fair bit of criticism Down Under, with it being described as a show about 'over-sexed meatheads with six packs'.

How to keep up to date with Love Island Australia in the UK

Love Island UK might be about to liven up your summer - but this year you can get yourself a double dose of romantic antics in exotic locations.

That's because the first ever series of Love Island Australia has just kicked off - with the same sort of shenanigans happening there as happen on our very own homegrown version.

The show is being aired on Channel Nine down under, but you can keep up to date with the fun on our shores too.

Here's what you need to know...

L-R Natasha, Tayla, Erin, Cassidy, Millie, Charlie, Eden, Justin, Grant, Josh Credit: Channel Nine
Love Island Australia is underway - and it's not far from where the UK version is filming (Picture: Channel 9)

Is Love Island Australia showing in the UK?

At the moment the series is not being aired over here - although metro.co.uk has contacted ITV to find out - as makers of the UK version - whether they plan to show the Aussie version too.

However you can keep up with all the goings-on from their villa in Majorca as the show has its own YouTube channel - and they've been posting clips regularly.

Together with the UK show - which begins on ITV2 on Monday June 4 - that should be enough to give you your Love Island fix this summer.

Where is the show set?

The show, which began last week, is being filmed in a villa in Majorca, Spain - only half an hour away from the UK Love Island will be unfolding.

All of which has led to speculation that we could be in for a twist and a half - in which the Australian and UK islanders swap houses.

Of course it's just speculation  - but who knows what producers might have in store for our new crop of islanders when they head for the villa?

Anyone of note in Love Island Australia?

While the new series of the UK version has Danny Dyer's daughter Dani among its cast, there's also a familiar face in the Australian version - in the shape of former Big Brother star John James Parton.

John James was on the final Channel 4 series of Big Brother back in 2010, and warmed our hearts when he struck up a romance with eventual series winner Josie Gibson.

The couple dated for several months after the series ended, but they split up in 2011 and he subsequently moved back to Australia.
